What is a Keyword Search Tool?

What is a keyword search tool?  Why is it important to find and to learn to use a search tool?  What difference will it make in my readership? I urge you to get in tune with the basics of searching for key words and phrases before you start looking at using particular tools that help you find the right words.

Write Content Around What People Want to Read

A keyword tool exists so you can see what people are searching for on the internet. You can find words and phrases that have been entered into the major search engines. This is goldenkeyvaluable because you can write content around what people want to read. Whether you are writing about what’s on your mind or a review of certain products, you will want to know more about using a keyword tool.

Your readership increases as you create content around keyword phrases. As people ask questions and enter words into the search engines, the search engines keep track of what people are entering. Much about this has changed over the years.  It used to be that search engine optimization as is relates to using keywords only had to do with using the ‘correct’ buzzwords so the search engines began to rank your page.

In the past, you could do simple tricks like using backlinks (links all over kingdom come that point to your website) to increase your rankings, but that’s not the case today.

If you’re interested in the changes that have come about over the years on optimization for search engines, you might begin with reading this article.

Why You Need a Keyword Tool

There is an organic component to using keywords that will ALWAYS stay a part of the major search engines’ algorithms: writing relevant content that helps the reader.  To underscore this point, I want to link to the very words of Google. The bottom line: creating quality content wins.

See, this entire keyword search thing is for EVERYONE.  Search engines work in a very organic and a very relevant way. Now it’s our turn to be organic and relevant with what we write on a web page so we have the best chance in reaching the 3.4 billion people online (2016). And just about every one of those uses a search engine.get-website-traffic

The above article from Google on creating quality content is VERY good news for all of us.  We should never have this seeming need to try and catch the wind when it comes to website content creation, all we need is a great keyword tool to help in our research of what folks are actually looking for on the ‘net.  Finding and using the most relevant keywords means everything.

Oh for sure, we still need to pay attention to making changes to our pages to increase our conversion rates, but the very foundation for our websites has been solidified by the search engines, and just keeps getting better and better.  The very core of what we do, write excellent content, now matters like never before.

Those who try to game search engines are going to lose.

Create a Solid Foundation

The basic website / blog creation template: create a solid foundation of relevant keywords in a niche, then tweak the content for higher conversion rates.

The best formula to get people to your website / blog:

  • Find a relevant keyword or keyword phrase
  • Write EXCELLENT and RELEVANT content around those words

That, my friends, is all there is to it as far as building the foundation. The elegantly simple solution of finding a target word or phrase and amplifying it. Simply write words and ideas that are completely relevant…and completely HELPFUL.relevancy1

You see, the search engines really want to rank your relevant content around your chosen keywords.  The more relevant to the keyword, the higher the rank. The search engines exist to serve people, to help folks find exactly what they’re looking for.

This is why you need a keyword tool if you are writing content on the internet and this is how you are going to create your solid foundation. The difference that using a keyword tool makes in ranking your pages will be astounding.  Content is King and Queen!

Now keeping those eyeballs on your web pages is another story. The first step has to be getting those eyeballs on your website. The keyword tool is used for this first step. The second step is Search Engine Optimization, and that is used to help anchor those keywords in the most optimum places, among other things.

How Do You Find Relevant Keywords?  What are You Looking For?

There are three important criteria for searching for keywords:

  • How much competition for the keyword or phrase
  • How much traffic the keyword or phrase gets
  • Does the keyword or phrase make sense?wa_uncover_secrets_250x250

Know that the keyword or phrase that you select must make sense, be spelled correctly, be clear and be grammatically correct because you are going to create relevant content around those words. Do I sound like a broken record? Good! The more these keywords and your relevant content revolve around making good sense, the higher the search engines are going to rank your page.  The supporting relevant content that you are creating are in themselves becoming keywords!

By doing this, you are literally taking over the search engines around this relevancy and creating your own ranking destiny. How cool is that!?

Available Keyword Tools

There are so many keyword tools, but many of them give useless information. Sure, there are advanced metrics to be used, but even these advanced metrics should all revolve around creating relevant keywords. Too many keyword search tools are putting out useless information for your hard earned money. That’s because many of them have been created too long ago to be relevant for today.

For modern keyword tools, here are three that I recommend:

Google

In the past, Google actually had a free keyword tool, but that has morphed into a paid tool called used for AdWords and AdSense.  Now, the Google search engine itself can be used as a keyword tool, and it’s free. Simply type a question or a keyword/phrase. When you type words in Google, below your typing you will begin to see suggestions that Google is giving you. These suggestions come from actual searches from people.  You can take notes from what you see there in the suggestions and for the searches you have made.

You won’t be able to find out how much traffic certain keywords have, but you can certainly begin to see the popularity of your search terms.  You also won’t be able to find out how much total competition there is, but you can begin to refine your search for keywords that make sense.

Wealthy Affiliatewakeywordsearchtool1

You can begin to narrow down the words and phrases you want to center your content around.  Many at Wealthy Affiliate have found this tool to be priceless and say that it’s the only tool they’ll ever need.

Jaaxy

The Jaaxy keyword search tool is an advanced tool for those internet marketers that strive to maximize the information around the basics. Souman–

It’s good to look around and search for the best tools out there. Lord knows there are plenty of them available, and every company or SEO student thinks theirs is superior. And if it works for them, all the better.

But what do you believe is the best keyword tool out there? Not other tools, but keyword tools? I’d love to start collecting a list of favorites.

Also, consider to not look past the basics before attempting to invest much faith in SEO. Finding the right keywords is great, but learning how to maximize and create the best form of a keyword phrase and then creating content around that is worth it’s weight in gold.

Many SEO techniques and tools are fine things, but it’s important to try and not place the cart before the horse. If interested, please take a look at Finding Keywords for Your Website – The Natural Way.

I perfectly agree with what you are writing in your website
“Whats Is A Keyword Search Tool?”

Personally it took me while in the past to convince my self to SEO.

I thought it was not in such use anymore, and i was most likely going direct into paid advertising, and not really “care” if my landing page or websites would be ranked in the search engines. But that was a result of lack of experience as an newbie online marketer in the past..

But soon i realized that SEM and SEO GO together!
    Its like what’s a “men without a woman..and whats a woman without a man” 😉

So soon i started to investing time on learning in more depth about SEO, Content, and Keywords Search..
As a result of “mastering” the art of SEO and keywords search, I saw a big result on my revenue online.

      Hi Alex–

No doubt. SEO, content and keyword search and usage is the love language of this artistry. It’s one thing to just write because that’s what’s on your mind and another thing to write with the intention of placing it in front of an audience.

Like bread and butter, man and woman, pants and legs…

      Thanks for stopping by.
